Emergent Payments is an online payments company focusing on offering local payment methods in global markets to digital companies. Emergent Payments is based in Palo Alto, California. The company facilitates transactions for online games, digital entertainment, technology platforms, e-learning and other digitally focussed companies. Emergent Payments also offers risk and fraud protection during those transactions. Previously, the company was named Live Gamer, but in June 2015 it changed its name to Emergent Payments to symbolize its shift from gaming e-commerce to the broader market for digital payments around the world. Emergent payments started off in 2007 as Live Gamer in New York. It was founded by Mitch Davis and Andrew Schneider. Mitch Davis is currently the company's CEO while Andrew Schneider is the President. Currently Emergent Payments is headquartered in Palo Alto, California with a second development center in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina. Emergent Payments has international offices in Luxembourg, Seoul (S. Korea), Shanghai (China), Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) and Tokyo (Japan).〔 Emergent Payments has raised over $43.1 Million in 5 Rounds of venture capital funding from 5 Investors .〔〔 In 2015 launched Jumpstart Brazil.
